Aurora Primary Care

What is Direct Primary Care?

β€œI couldn’t get an appointment with my doctor for six weeks.”
β€œA half-day off work, more than an hour at the clinic, only saw my doctor for ten minutes.”
β€œI never know what a visit will end up costing β€” and neither does my doctor’s office.”
β€œMy doctor seems just as frustrated with the system as I am.”

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I hear it all the time β€” because this is what healthcare has come to feel like for so many patients and doctors alike. The system is rushed, confusing, and often driven more by insurance paperwork than by genuine care.

AtΒ Aurora Primary Care, we believe there’s a better way.

Today’s healthcare system has become complicated and impersonal. Most primary care doctors manage thousands of patients and see 20 or more each day. Appointments are rushed β€” 10 or 15 minutes at best β€” leaving little time to listen, explain, or build real relationships. Behind the scenes, doctors spend hours on insurance forms and authorizations, while patients face surprise bills and confusing copays. While Telehealth options have helped, they are typically limited to symptom reviews and follow-ups.

We built Aurora Primary Care to change that β€” to create a model where medical decisions are guided by your health needs, not by insurance bureaucracy. Direct Primary Care (DPC) makes that vision possible.

In the DPC model, there’s no third-party billing. Instead, patients join through a simple membership β€” like a gym, but for your health. You pay a predictable monthly fee that covers most primary care services, including office visits and telehealth consultations. No copays. No deductibles. No surprises.

This model allows us to focus on what truly matters: time with you.

At Aurora Primary Care, your membership includes:

  • Same-day or next-day appointments
  • Longer, unhurried visits (30–60 minutes when needed)
  • Direct communication with your doctor via phone, text, or email
  • Preventive care and annual wellness exams
  • Chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, thyroid care, and more)
  • Routine lab testing at discounted prices
  • Coordination with specialists and imaging centers
  • Virtual visits for care that comes to you

And startingΒ January 2026, you’ll even be able to use pre-taxΒ Health Savings Account (HSA)Β funds to pay for your DPC membership, thanks to new federal legislation recognizing the value of this model.

Direct Primary Care is healthcare, simplified β€” putting people, not paperwork, back at the heart of medicine.
