Get Faster Answers With In-Office Testing In Rockville, MD

Need test results today, not next week? At Aurora Primary Care in Rockville, MD, we make it easier to take care of your health by offering many common diagnostic tests and simple procedures right here in our office. That means fewer trips to urgent care and quicker answers about your health.

The Difference: DPC In-Office Testing vs Traditional Healthcare Testing

Traditional fee-for-service practices often send most tests to outside labs because insurance reimbursement models make in-office testing financially complicated. Aurora’s Direct Primary Care model removes these barriers, allowing us to invest in on-site diagnostic capabilities that truly benefit you.

Faster Results, Faster Treatment

Many of our in-office tests provide results within minutes, not days. That means you leave with a diagnosis and treatment plan the same day, rather than spending anxious days wondering what’s wrong while waiting for lab callbacks. Our DPC model enables immediate clinical decision-making without insurance delays.

The DPC Advantage: No Insurance Barriers

Traditional practices must verify coverage, get pre-authorizations, and navigate complex billing codes for each test. Our membership model eliminates these obstacles. We perform tests based on what you medically need, not what insurance companies approve. This means faster access to necessary diagnostics.

One Location, Complete Care

No driving to separate lab facilities across town and no coordinating multiple appointments at different locations. Get your exam, diagnostic testing, and results discussion all in one visit at one convenient Rockville location, with transparent costs discussed upfront.

What Is In-Office Testing?

Certain diagnostic tests can be performed right here at our clinic. They save you time, provide prompt results, and allow us to begin treatment sooner when necessary. If your physician recommends a test that is not performed in the office, you will be advised of labs that can offer them at significantly discounted prices.

At Aurora Primary Care, our Direct Primary Care model removes the financial and administrative barriers that prevent traditional practices from offering comprehensive in-office testing.

Dr. Malhotra is superb. She always entertains my self diagnosis by asking what I thought I had. I always giggle at her approach and she is always right. One of the best doctors!

I am 55 years old and compared to my other physicians Dr. Malhotra is far superior. She is very knowledgeable, takes a practical approach to medicine, and most of all she listens. She makes it a point to follow up with all my other doctors to ensure that she has a complete picture of my health.

Dr. Malhotra is the best medical provider I've had in my 25 yrs living in the US. She listens carefully, explains in detail, does not rush, and is thorough in her examinations and overall health profile. Her global practice has exposed her to many medical conditions, including tropical illnesses I've had, and she understands alternative complementary treatments while remaining scientifically grounded. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

In-office rapid tests are highly accurate. Rapid strep tests are approximately 85 to 95 percent accurate, flu tests are 70 to 90 percent accurate, and COVID tests are over 95 percent accurate. If results do not match clinical presentation, Dr. Malhotra may order confirmatory lab testing.
Dr. Malhotra explains results immediately, discusses what they mean, and creates a treatment or monitoring plan. For urgent findings, treatment starts the same day. For conditions that require specialists, we coordinate referrals while continuing to manage your overall care.
